Ted Cruz Hates Rock Music, Is A Not Good Snack

I know this isn't a snack food review but bear with me.

I'm aware the title of the video is blatantly anti-Cruz.  It was the only video on YouTube that actually had the interview.  Since BlogSpot doesn't let you embed non-YouTube videos, that's my only option.  For the original video, go to cbsnews.com.  If that video gets pulled, here is the transcription via businessinsider.com:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says his music tastes completely changed after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
In a Tuesday morning interview, the newly minted presidential candidate said he used to be a classic rock fan but was disappointed in how the genre responded to the terrorist attack.
"Music is interesting. I grew up listening to classic rock. And I'll tell you sort of an odd story: My music tastes changed on 9/11. I actually intellectually find this very curious, but on 9/11, I didn't like how rock music responded," Cruz said on CBS's "This Morning" when asked about his music tastes.
The conservative firebrand suggested this reaction sharply contrasted with the patriotism displayed by the country music industry. He said he had an epiphany and has been listening to country ever since.
"Country music — collectively — the way they responded, it resonated with me. And I have to say just at a gut level, I had an emotional reaction that says, 'These are my people,'" he said. "And ever since 2001, I listen to country music. But I'm an odd country music fan because I didn't listen to it prior to 2001.
I wish Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert would be around for more of this guy's campaign.  There's so many questions I have that can't be answered via a medium of me drowning my shame with Oreos.  For starters, does this mean he stopped listening to albums he already had, or just stopped buying albums?  He only specified classic rock; does this mean hard rock and alternative rock are safe?
Ted Cruz needs to release his own version of the Filthy 15.  That would make me so happy.  "Um let's see, Springsteen's a lib so he's out.  Ted Nugent would probably support me, so I'm going to overlook him shitting his pants to avoid being drafted." -Ted Cruz (that's an actual quote he didn't say).
Where do country-rock artists fall into this category?  Does that mean The Allman Brothers and CCR aren't going to get that sweet, sweet Ted Cruz iTunes nod?  Dammit Ted, you cannot deny Lynyrd Skynyrd rock!
If I may move past the mandatory jokes, let me get serious.  Rock didn't music 'respond' any differently than any other genre.  Hell, New York Steel was a heavy metal benefit concert that raised over $90,000 for New York Police And Fire Widow's And Children's Benefit Fund.  Hey Ted, is that not a good enough 'response' for you?
Here's a clip regarding the anthrax scare that followed the 9/11 attacks (scroll to 28min 6sec, BlogSpot won't do it for some reason):
If that's not a proper 'response' for terroristic threats, then I don't know what is.  Raising a giant middle finger to terrorists and carrying on with your lives is the only way to deal with fear.  Abandoning something you claim to love because of said terrorists is called being a fucking pussy.

So Ted Cruz, as someone who actually loves rock music, who saw the Twin Towers smoking from my classroom, and who's skyline hasn't been the same since that terrible day, fuck you.  You're a piece of shit.  I hope your children turn out gay, or rock fans, or left-handed, or whatever your flavor of the week is.  Your pandering only proves you don't stand for anything and you're not what being an American is about.

PS- Also you look gamy.  Zero out of ten.

PPS- Again, go fuck yourself.
