English Invasion Part 6: Nestle Wispa

     What have I learned from six English snacks?  They often name them after what the bar is.  Unlike, say, PayDay or 100 Grand, the names are descriptive of the bar itself.  Crunchie bar is crunchy.  Fish and chips taste like fish and chips.  Wispa tastes like a whisper of chocolate.

Stop & Shop Candy Chip Cookies

     What'd do you guys do for the Superbowl?  Maybe get some beers, wings, chips, then meet up at a friend's house?  Sit down and enjoy the game?  Well not me.  I sampled snacks during the game.  Quitters never win, and winners never quit.

QuikChek Macaroon Brownie

     If you're not Jewish like I am you're probably not too familiar with macaroons.  That's understandable but still not forgivable.  There's a lot of downsides to Passover, which is coming up soon, but the best part is the macaroons.  They're little coconut cookies that are low in carbs but super high in fat.

English Invasion Part 5: Cadbury Flake Is Flaky

     When you get a bar that says 'flake' on it you expect it to either fall apart when you bite into it, or to get a text from it an hour before your game starts saying that its got 'personal stuff' going on right now and can't make it.  This bar definitely falls into one of those two categories.

     Well it took 4 blogs but I found a lousy English snack.  Full disclaimer, I'm not a vinegar fan.  But that might be because I have a working tongue so take that as you will.

     After having one of the clerks at QuikChek comment on not seeing me one week I decided maybe it's time to lay off the brownies.  So I picked up one of these nutrition bars from Food Network's Robert Irvine.

English Invasion Part 3: Nestle Yorkie #ManStuff

     So this is just a standard chocolate bar.  Like an English Hershey Bar.  It tastes less processed since there's no high fructose corn sugar.

Hershey's Take 5 Is Everything! (Literally)

     The Take 5 is an interesting concept.  Basically they took the five best ingredients in candy and put them in a blender.

English Invasion Part 2: Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles

     I'm starting to suspect all candy from England is better.  I'm not a big fan of fruit snacks and I still inhaled these.  These things are a fruity jelly covered in sugar and they're a big hit with my taste buds.
