Hot and Spicy Cinnamon Oreos

     Right off the bat- these are not the kind of cinnamon you find in snickerdoodles or chicken (that one time if I’m cooking and have been drinking). These use the cinnamon in Red Hots. Coincidentally, these use the cinnamon that does not work well with Oreo cookies.

     I’ve taken one or two science classes in my life so I know how taste buds work. The crème and the cookies are designed for different parts of your taste buds. Maybe you can peel off the crème and eat them separately. That’s your choice. But my tongue does not like how they taste when they’re chewed up.

     In the interest of fairness, I will say these are fairly hot and spicy for a cookie. For a cookie though, not for chicken wings. It’s an unexpected hotness like when someone cooks with the medium level hot sauce instead of the mild. You’ll survive but still have a mouth full of lousy cookie. 3/10
