I looked up Stewart's gas stations to see if there are any near me and they're only concentrated in mid Upstate New York. Very fishy. Why are there so many stations in such a small area? I could have sworn I've been to one in Wildwood. Maybe the restaurants are a different subsidiary than the gas stations. That's not relevant to the blog though.
I know northern New Jersey has one Wawa. And QuikCheck, while I frequent it often, is really more a convenience than a destination. Stewart's seems like a step up though. They had handmade milkshakes! I didn't check if they had a sandwich counter, which in retrospect is something I should have considered, but that's irrelevant to a snack blog.
(A+ picture. Totally forgot I was in park when I took this.)
I had the handmade milkshake first. Stewart's has an ice cream counter there which is a nice touch in addition to the usual freezer section most shops have. Unfortunately this counter lacks a bit of the personal touch some ice cream stores have. Everything was weighed when she made the shake. When a bartender makes a mixed drink sometimes they throw in a little extra for a high tipper or something like that. I got exactly two scoops of chocolate ice cream along with exactly 8 oz (or whatever, shut up) of milk. I usually request a thick shake because then it loosens up over time and lasts a bit longer. Mine was thin right off the bat. I don't know if that was because of the clerk or Stewart's just doesn't do thick shakes right. 5/10. Though to be fair that's still better than other convenience stores/ fast food places besides maybe McDonalds.
Next up we have a brownie. Stewart's had a whole display of baked goods. I don't know if they're fresh or not. It was a good brownie, but nothing special. Maybe I'm spoiled because QuickChek actually has some decent brownies. Wawa's are pretty good too. Stewart's kind of paled in comparison.
It was flaky but a bit dry. Nice size too. Just nothing out of the ordinary to set it apart from a stacked draft class. I give it 5/10.
PS- Stewart's sodas are all 10/10.
