Blogger's note: that picture looked significantly clearer on my phone when I took it. Come on Andrew, be better.
Swedish Fish are a wildly underrated candy, mostly due to the fact no one really knows exactly what the fuck they are. Well thanks to some research I know everything I need to know to write a blog about them. Most importantly, they're considering a wine gum candy like the ones from England I reviewed previously. Also, I'm calling bullshit since they're both from the same company. So they just put the same recipe in a different candy mold? Seems pretty lazy if you ask me.
Another reason to call bullshit: Swedish Fish, although originally made in Sweden, were originally based on a Norwegian recipe. That's me making an American Fish out of all Canadian ingredients. Smh.
Past all that, onto the candy. Supposedly the red fish are flavored after something called a lingonberry, which is native to Arctic climates (thanks again Wikipedia). I've never tried one but in fish form it's borderline addictive. Frankly I don't think Swedish Fish are anything spectacular but once I eat one I immediately eat about a dozen more, thus renewing the addictiveness until the box is gone. 7/10.
