I Got My First Ever Manicure And Honestly Kinda Enjoyed It

So this past practice I blocked a pass (no big deal) but my buddy Dan has such a cannon arm that the ball ripped two of my fingernails open.
(I used a stock image so my potentially gross fingers don't show up as the thumbnail)
Pretty gross right?  Well I figured I just stubbed my finger pretty hard and kept playing two hand touch like the true champion that I am.  A couple of minutes later I look at my hand and see it's covered in blood.  Found out Dan ripped my right ring and pinky fingernails in half.  Since I don't want anyone to get my blood on anybody (it's essentially maple syrup at this point) I wrapped them up in electrical tape.  Good thing I have First Aid merit badge and we have a med kit!
So after a detour at the bar I head to the nail salon.  Before I even sit down she grabs a nail clipper and starts trimming my nails.  Then another lady takes a look at my hand.  She puts rubbing alcohol on it which burned worse than the usual burning I experience.  She layered on some shellac type coating.  While that was drying she insisted on filing the nails on my other hand.  She spent extra time on the other ring finger.  I guess she didn't like how I take care of that one, but I want it on record that I dislocated that finger and ever since then the fingernail has grown in wavy.  I can't be blamed for that one.  The whole ordeal took 15 minutes.  Also they did it for free even when I told them I wanted to pay!
Anyway I kinda enjoyed the whole experience, besides the bleeding and the rubbing alcohol.  Who says you have to suffer to be beautiful?  I've never suffered to look as pretty as I am.  Apparently it just comes naturally for some people.  It was kinda like a hand massage but you end up covered in fingernail dust.  And press-on nails are a joke.  My nails are all natural.

PS- Happy Leap Day!
