So obviously the big story here is the cupcake filling inside the chocolate creme. It's definitely something different from previous creme fillings.
It looks like a ring of chocolate creme with a cupcake filling in the middle. I can't tell if they did a sloppy job of assembling the cookie or it falls apart when I open the cookie up. Every one I ate I pulled apart to check and they all came out this way.
I can't tell if they filled up the middle space with cupcake filling or put a dab of it in there. Everything fell apart, so again, not 100% sure what's going on in there. But I do know that you can pull the chocolate creme away and leave some of the cupcake filling behind. It's not something they've used in previous cookies to my knowledge. It's a bit softer and airier than their normal product.
Is it great? No. Oreo is just spitballing ideas now in hopes that people will buy it based solely on interest. And to that extent, it works. But I'm not going to buy another 2/3 size package for full price for a 6/10 cookie.
