Skidmore College Cafeteria Soft Serve Ice Cream

     Before you ask, yes I did drive three hours so I could go to a buffet style cafeteria and have a tiny ice cream cone.  Also I made the USA Maccabi Rugby team while I was up there, no big deal but kind of a big deal (literally everyone who paid the camp fee made the team).
     Before I give you guys the review let me discuss the whole weekend.  A few rugby organizations were holding a combine and scrimmages to gauge players from all over the country and yours truly was invited (every rugby coach in the country was told to invite their players but not the point).

     Naturally along the way we had to crank some jams.

     Skidmore College is a beautiful campus.  They also have two rugby pitches, which is two more than my own college did.  Side note, I ran into a girl wearing a hoodie from alma mater.  I went to say hi to her and she didn't even stop walking to talk to me.  So yeah, I'd say I've still got the charm.
     The weekend started with a combine and a 20 minute scrimmage on Saturday, in the pouring rain.  So that was fun to run around in squishy cleats the whole day.  That night we hit the town.  Our plan was to catch a movie but that changed when we had time to stop into a bar and wound up barhopping for a few hours.  Along the way I saw this landmark:

Is that a cookies and milk bar?  Or a business that specializes in cookies and milk?  It was closed so I couldn't go in and find out.  I might have to take another trip up to Saratoga to find out.  For the blog of course.

     Sunday was originally supposed to be 6 teams rotating in 20 minute scrimmages.  Then everybody left because they were soaked and miserable from practicing in the rain for 4 hours so that turned into 2 teams playing a full 80 minute scrimmage.  (Not to brag but downstate NY crushed those upstate pussies)  And when I say 80 minutes, I mean the camp doctor stopped the game at about the 79 minute mark to say that between the full game and the long hours we put in the day before, he was calling the game early for health reasons.  Then we had Subway catered for us.

     I'd say the weekend was an overall success.  Congrats to my buddy Bobby for being selected for the Morris 7s select sides, congrats to me for making the Maccabis, and congrats to my buddy Dylan for being legendary.

     Also the ice cream sucked.  It was grainy.  Like they put in so much extra sugar it didn't mix with the other ingredients.  But since it was a buffet style dining hall with unlimited ice cream I still give it a 4/10.  Also they had chocolate milk there.  There is literally no such thing as bad chocolate milk.  I don't mean dairy products with the chocolate flavoring, I mean actual chocolate milk.  Only drink whole or 2% though, 1% and skim are too watered down.  Otherwise the cafeteria was like any other college cafeteria I've been to.

PS- Skidmore dorm rooms are fucking covered in jizz.  Each dorm had a bay window with a pad for sitting/ having unprotected sex on and they were all disgusting.  I don't know if I'm just old and forgot about other schools having a jizz problem but it was gross.
