First thing first: They weren't kidding when they said "big" crunch bar. This is encroaching novelty candy bar size. They actually gave it a second flap on the back so you could open it a special way.
At first glance it's tough to make any assumptions. It looks like a chocolate bar. Alright Oreo, touche. Some of their cookies have been looking unappetizing lately so this is a start. I do want to point out, however, that a serving size is 5 pieces and if you notice this is in a 9 x 4 grid.
I bit into this and immediately had mixed emotions. The milk chocolate is very high quality. Milka is apparently pretty damn good. If they made a standard milk chocolate bar I would estimate it in the 8/10 range. What gives me pause is actually the Oreo.
The cookie isn't as flavorful as the chocolate. But no one buys Oreos for flavorful cookies. So it's an odd pairing of very good chocolate and then relatively-flavorless crunch. And then the creme- what to say about the creme? First off, the creme is more of a glaze. Biting into it you can actually see it's a different consistency. It's very thin at points other than the break so it's tough to gauge how much of it you're really tasting.
So what brings the candy bar down from say, 8 or 9, is the Oreo. It's good but I can't in good conscience let Oreo have the benefit of the doubt. 7/10
